Thomas Tuchel Interested in Signing Two Stars from the Club Following His Appointment as Bayern Munich Manager

Thomas Tuchel, the new head coach of Bayern Munich, is reportedly interested in bringing two Chelsea players to the German club - Mateo Kovacic and Edouard Mendy.

Tuchel has taken over from Julian Nagelsmann and has a few months left to claim a treble with Bayern Munich, as the club is still in contention in three competitions.

According to Calciomercato, the 49-year-old coach is keen on signing Kovacic and Mendy, both of whom are expected to leave Chelsea at the end of the season.

Manchester United and Liverpool are also reportedly interested in Kovacic, who has played a key role at Chelsea since his move from Real Madrid in 2018 but has fallen down the pecking order in recent months.

Meanwhile, Mendy has been displaced as Chelsea's first-choice goalkeeper by Kepa Arrizabalaga. In addition to the players, Tuchel is also interested in hiring Chelsea's coach, Anthony Barry, to his coaching staff at Bayern Munich.
